Deposit
To confirm a reservation, a Security Deposit must be received within 10 days of booking. Security deposits are returned within 1 - 2 weeks after departure, less cleaning fee, any expenses for unauthorized long distance calls, missing items or damages above normal wear and tear.
Payment
No credit cards are accepted. Rent is due in full 60 days prior to arival. Payments must be made in US dollars, cash, money orders, traveler's, personal or business checks made out to Kauai Oceanfront Property. Payments through Paypal or direct bank transfers can be made on request. Additional fees apply.
Taxes
All rents are subject to a General Excise Tax of 4.712% and a Transient Accommodation Tax of 13.25%.
Cancellation
With more than 120 days written notice, the security deposit will be refunded, less a processing fee of $50.00. If written notice is received less than 120 days before the planned arrival, the full deposit will be forfeited. With less than 60 days written notice, the rent and taxes will also be forfeited, unless the unit can be re-rented. If only part of the reserved days can be re-rented, a matching percentage will be refunded.
Keys And Directions
Instructions for the lock box and directions to the property will be sent at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled arrival.
Furnishings
All our Pali Kai Cottages are completely furnished with linens, cooking utensils, TV, DVD, washer, dryer, free wifi and air conditioning. If bed sizes are important, please let us know before making the reservation.
Condition Of Unit
Guests will be held accountable for any damages to the contents, house or property incurred during their stay. Damaged or missing items will be deducted from the Security Deposit. Upon arrival anything broken or inoperable should be reported immediately.
No Smoking
There is a no smoking policy for all the Pali Kai Cottages. Any indication of smoking will result in the loss of the Security Deposit.
Disclaimer
Every effort has been made to ensure that all guest amenities, appliances and equipment are in good
working order and that the surrounding environment is as pleasing as possible. In the event of an
equipment breakdown, we will strive to repair or replace it as soon as possible after being notified
of the problem. We cannot guarantee that TVs, electronics, appliances etc. will not break down during
your stay, and therefore no refunds or adjustments can be made for electrical or mechanical failure.
We cannot take responsibility for any other unexpected situation beyond our control such as power
outages, insects, weather, nearby construction etc.
